Wakiso Giants have officially parted company with Steven Bengo who has been the club’s head coach for one season.
Bengo’s departure was confirmed by the club this morning.
“Wakiso Giants FC can confirm that Head Coach Bengo Steven has left his position with immediate effect following the conclusion of the 2024/25 season,”
Bengo was appointed as the club’s head coach at the start of the season on a three year contract alongside Tony Mawejje as his deputy.
However, the club endured a disastrous season that saw them succumb to relegation to the FUFA Big League.
Bengo managed 30 league games and only recorded three wins losing 16 times and drawing the other 11.
The club is expected to embark on a search for a new coach in preparation for the 2025/26 FUFA Big League season.
