Plascon Uganda has announced an exciting extension of it’s partnership with seven time Uganda Premier league and four time Uganda Cup champions Vipers SC.
Plascon Managing Director Santosh Gumte confirmed the development as Vipers celebrated their double triumph at the company’s headquarters in Namanve on Thursday.
The paint company will continue its support for another three years with an investment worth approximately 400 million Ugandan shillings, encompassing financial backing, marketing collaborations, and additional support to propel the club to even greater heights.
Plascon Uganda have been Vipers SC partners for five years since March 2021.
The Venoms were led by captain Milton Karisa, the Vipers delegation comprising players, coaching staff, and club officials were warmly received by Plascon Managing Director Santosh Gumte and his team. The event was a highlight of the strong bond between the two entities, with Plascon’s unwavering support playing a pivotal role in Vipers’ success over the years. Since the partnership began, Vipers has secured two domestic doubles, further cementing their status as Uganda’s premier football club.
In his address, Plascon MD Santosh Gumte expressed his delight at the club’s achievements, stating, “We are proud to be associated with the number one club in the country. At the start of the season, Vipers promised to win trophies, and they have delivered on that promise in spectacular fashion. Their dedication, professionalism, and winning mentality align perfectly with Plascon’s values of excellence and leadership.”
Alex Luganda, Vipers SC’s Legal Director, conveyed the club’s gratitude to Plascon for their steadfast support.
“Today is not just about celebrating our victories; it is about acknowledging the partners who have stood with us through every challenge and triumph. Plascon has been more than a sponsor — they have been a pillar of our success. As we prepare to represent Uganda in the CAF Champions League next season, we are honored to carry the Plascon logo on our jerseys, showcasing this partnership on the continental stage.”
As a token of appreciation, the Vipers delegation presented Plascon’s leadership with a commemorative plaque, symbolizing the mutual respect and shared ambitions between the two organizations.
Following the formal proceedings, the Vipers team and media personnel were treated to an exclusive tour of the Plascon Namanve factory, gaining firsthand insight into the production processes behind Plascon’s renowned paint products. The tour underscored the synergy between Vipers’ pursuit of excellence on the pitch and Plascon’s commitment to quality and innovation in its industry.
