Milincic promises to deliver success at SC Villa

Uganda Premier league giants SC Villa have confirmed the appointment of Serbian tactician Nemanja Milincic.

Milincic is a UEFA Pro national license, UEFA B license, UEFA C license and has previously served as assistant coach at Bulgarian national team in 2022/23.

He replaces Morley Byekwaso who was at the helms in the just concluded season.

Milincic promised to deliver success at the 17-time Uganda Premier league champions.

I am eager to work with the players, staff and management to build a formidable team that will challenge for every trophy available. I know the expectations are high and i am committed to delivering success and making our supporters proud.” Said Milincic

Milincic was recently at FK Napredak Krusevac in the Serbian topflight league where he worked as assistant until March this year.

He has also previously served as a Match Analyst for Saudi Arabian clubs Al Ettifaq and Al Ahli as well as AEK Athens in Greece and Red Star Belgrade.

He becomes the fourth Serbian to coach to manage at SC Villa after Milutin Micho Sredojevic (2002-04), Srdan Zivojnov (2010-11) and Dusan Stojanovic (2023-24).

Milincic also becomes the seventh foreign tactician to manage at the club, others are Englishman Geoff Hudson, Spanish Antonio Flores, Greek coach Petros Koukouras.
