FUFA Big League Ntugasaze FC are set to lose their best player Lawrence Kambugu during this transfer window.
Swift Sports Uganda understands that Kambugu who finished as the 2024/25 FUFA Big League top scorer is out of contract at Ntugasaze FC following expiration of his employment contract.
This website has also established that Kambugu is not willing to extend his stay at the club as he eyes a move to a topflight side.
The Rays of Grace Academy graduate scored 15 goals to claim the golden boot of the just concluded FUFA Big League campaign.

He secured his golden boot with a hat-trick during Ntugasaze’s 6-3 defeat to Kaaro Karungi on the final day. He finished two goals ahead of Ambrose Kigozi of Kiyinda Boys who scored 13.
His individual performances were however not enough to help his side secure topflight football next season as they finished a distant 9th on the log with 36 points.
