Uganda Premier league giants SC Villa have appointed Kovacevic Zeljko as their head coach for the forthcoming 2025/26 campaign.
His appointment comes just a week after the untimely departure of Nemanja Milincic who the club had unveiled last month.
On Tuesday, 1st July, the 17-time league champions have named another Serbian tactician Zeljko has their next head coach but didn’t reveal the duration of his contract.
“SC Villa is delighted to announce the appointment of Kovacevic Zeljko as the new Head Coach with immediate effect. Zeljko joins the SC Villa with a wealth of experience and brings some of the unique qualities to the club. He is remembered during playing days to be one of the best Defenders in the game.”

He becomes the fourth Serbian tactician to manage the club after Milutin “Micho” Sredojevic, Serbian Zivojnov Srdjan and Dusan Stojanovic.
He is also the seventh foreign tactician to coach at the 17-time league champions, others are Englishman Geoff Hudson, Serbia’s Milutin “Micho” Sredojevic, Serbian Zivojnov Srdjan, Spanish Antonio Flores, Greek coach Petros Koukouras and Dusan Stojanovic.
