The 2025 Buganda Masaza Cup resumed over the weekend with Match-day two at various playgrounds

Ssese stunned record competition winners Gomba 1-0 in Kabulasoke on Sunday with Fahad Bukenya scoring the all important goal in the epic Bulange Group game.

Bashir Mobin was sent off as Ssese finished with a man less.

Gomba remains winless this term having lost both of their opening two Masaza Cup games putting pressure on head coach Simon Ddungu alias Dunga.

In the same group, Busiro salvaged a late point against Buddu in a 1-1 stalemate at Sentama while Buluuli and Busujju shared spoils in a 1-1 draw.

At Sentama, Kanyike Muhammad gave Buddu the lead in the 23rd minute before Wabuzibu Eric’s late strike secured at least a point for Busiro.

Buddu moves to four points same as Busujju, Ssese three while five time winners Gomba are pointless.

In Masengere group, Buweekula shared spoils with Bugerere in a goalless stalemate in Mubende while Bulemeezi held Mawokota in another goalless draw on Sunday.

Mawokota is now on four points while Kyaddondo and Buvuma are both on three points. Buweekula and Bulemeezi have managed just a point each.

Muganzirwazza group, saw Ssingo and Kyaggwe play out to a goalless stalemate in Mityana while Kkooki came from a goal down to overcome Asaph Mwebaze’s Mawogola 2-1.

Kyaggwe is currently on four points, Mawogola, Kkooki are on three points while Ssingo has so far managed two points.
