Former KCCA FC coach Abdallah Mubiru has been appointed as the new Gaddafi FC head coach.
Earlier this month, Gaddafi advertised the coaching role with CAF A as the qualification for any coach interested in the vacant job.
This website also revealed that Mubiru was the favorite for the job and on Tuesday, Gaddafi have officially confirmed his appointment on a two year employment contract.
“We are honored to resume our UPL chapter under the guidance of Abdallah Mubiru an accomplished and visionary football mind,” the club announced on their official website
Mubiru has been jobless since his departure at KCCA FC in April will take over at the new Uganda Premier league side.
Robert Mukasa alias Kiyenje was in charge of Gaddafi FC as they sealed topflight division football last season.
He replaced Allan Kabonge who was sacked during the second round of the FUFA Big League last term.
Mubiru has previously coached KCCA FC, Police FC, Proline FC, Vipers SC, Mbeya City FC and Uganda Cranes where he was assistant to Jonathan McKinstry.
Gaddafi FC finished second in the FUFA Big League with 50 points, two adrift of Calvary FC who topped the standings while Buhimba United Saints were third also with 50 points.
