Three Uganda Premier league sides are interested in coach Simon Peter Mugerwa’s signature in this transfer window.
Swift Sports Uganda understands that newly promoted sides Buhimba United Saints FC and Calvary FC along with Mbarara City are the three sides courting Mugerwa’s signature.
Mugerwa is a CAF A licensed coach and is currently unemployed at club level since his departure at Police FC in April this year.
Sources also reveal that Mugerwa maybe be willing to work for a FUFA Big League side in case he fails to reach an agreement with a topflight side.
The three clubs are in search of a CAF A license coach which is one of the credentials for a topflight side next season.
Mugerwa is currently handling Kyaggwe in the prestigious Buganda Kingdom organized Masaza Cup championship.
His side finished the first round of the Masaza Cup competition on top of Muganzirwazza group with 11 points.
Besides Police where he won the 2023/24 FUFA Big League title, Mugerwa has been at several clubs including Fire Masters, Sports Club Villa, (Assistant coach), Soltilo Bright Stars(Assistant/ interim Head coach), and recently Proline FC (Head coach).
In the Masaza Cup, he served at Buddu and guided both Bulemeezi (2019) and Busiro (2022) to the prestigious Buganda Masaza Cup triumphs.
