The Masaza Cup 2025 Organizing Committee has today convened a Semi-Finals Preparation Meeting at Bulange Mengo, bringing together administrators from the four Ssazas that qualified for the Semi-Final stage — Kyaggwe, Buweekula, Ssingo, and Bugerere.

The meeting focused on ensuring proper organization, discipline, and compliance with tournament regulations as the competition enters its decisive phase.

Speaking during the session, Hajj Sulaiman Ssejjengo, Chairperson of the Organizing Committee, emphasized the importance of maintaining order and respect during matchdays:

“We urge everyone to respect the referees and their decisions because they are professionals in what they do. Sometimes they make mistakes like any human being, but that doesn’t call for quick reactions or mob actions. Referees who go wrong are always punished, just as any stakeholder who breaks our rules will be penalized accordingly.”

In addition, Saddam Ssebuyiira, Vice Secretary of the Organizing Committee, called upon teams to address the issues noted during the Quarter Finals to improve the quality of the upcoming fixtures:

“We call upon teams to correct the mistakes that were seen in the Quarter Finals — such as wrong lineups, poor marking of pitch lines, witchcraft practices, and poor welfare like toilets and dressing rooms. Let’s fix these and have great Semi-Final games.”

The Organizing Committee reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that all Semi-Final matches are conducted in a disciplined, fair, and professional manner — both on and off the pitch — as the tournament heads toward the much-anticipated final at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo, on 1st November 2025.
