They were joined by Ssese who sailed 2-0 past already eliminated Busiro at Ssentema. Alafat Muyanja and Kevin Mwambu scored Ssese’s goals in the first period of the game.

Buluuli prevailed to the last eight as Group winners, followed by Busujju while Ssese took up one of the slots for the third best placed teams.

Ssingo climaxed the Group stage campaign in Muganzirwazza as Group winners with a narrow 1-0 win over Kabula leapfrogging Kyaggwe who stumbled at Kkooki in the goalless stalemate. Erias Kiyemba scored Ssingo’s only goal.

Both finished with 19 points but Ssingo topped the group on superior goal difference and head to head.

In Masengere Group, Mawokota and Bugerere joined an already qualified Buweekula in the quarterfinals.

Buweekula finished top of the group with 22 points after ending Kyaddondo’s minimum qualification chances in a 2-0 home win. Jimmy Kalema and Alex Talemwa struck the two goals for Buweekula. Kalema also had his penalty saved.

Mawokota came from a goal down to overcome Buvuma 2-1, courtesy of goals from Sunny Kaija and Abdul Razak Takuba goals while Brian Katamba had fired Buvuma into an early lead. Mawokota qualify as runners up in the Group with 18 points.

Bugerere also surged into the last eight with 17 points after their 1-0 win at Bulemeezi, thanks to Colline Kafumbe sole goal. They went through as one of the two best third placed teams at the Group phase.
