The Minister for Youth, Sports and Talent Development, Owek. Robert Serwanga has confirmed that this year’s Buganda Masaza Cup Final will be played at Hamz Stadium in Nakivubo on 1st November.
Owek.Serwanga made the revelation on Wednesday at Bulange Mengo.
“We have been notified that Mandela National stadium will be under renovation at the time for the Masaza Cup final.Therefore the 2025 Masaza Cup final will be held at Hamz Stadium in Nakivubo.” Said Serwanga
This will be the first final to be held at Nakivubo Stadium since the 2013 edition when Mawokota smiled a late Farouk Miya goal to edge Ssingo 1-0.
Nakivubo Stadium has been the host venue for Kyaddondo Ssaza team during this year’s Masaza Cup edition.
Meanwhile, the Masaza Cup has reached the quarterfinal stage with Mawokota taking on Ssingo while Kyaggwe will entertain Ssese.
Busujju will battle with Buweekula while Bugerere will lock horns with Buluuli. The first legs will be held on 28th September with the return fixtures scheduled for October, 5th 2025.
