KCCA FC are apparently exploring upgrades to Mutwalib Mulogofa this transfer window with Joel Mutakubwa their top choice.

Mutakubwa is currently a free agent following expiration of his contract at BUL FC at the end of the 2024/25 season. He joined BUL FC at the start of the 2023/2024 season.

He made 29 league appearances and 2610 minutes last season. This website has also established that there is an Ethiopian side interested in Mutakubwa’s signature.

KCCA FC have struggled in the goalkeeping department since parting ways with Charles Lukwago in 2021.

At the start of the 2024/25 season, Abdallah Mubiru who was KCCA FC coach brought in Mutwalib Mulogofa but has struggled mightily since arriving.

The KCCA FC goalkeeping department also has Anthony Emojong and Humphrey Oyirwoth.

Both Mutakubwa and Mugolofa are with the Uganda Cranes team preparing for the forthcoming African Nations Championships (CHAN) tournament due to be hosted in East Africa.

Mutakubwa has previously played for Kyetume FC, Tooro United and Kirinya Jinja SS (now known as Busoga United).

KCCA FC have already completed the signing of Bwambale Lazaro, Ivan Ahimbisibwe and returning Herbert Achai.
