Vipers SC Starboy Allan Okello is to stay at the club until at least the January transfer window, Swift Sports Uganda understands.
The Venoms had no intentions of letting Okello leave this year but could be the subject of January interest.
The links have not gone away, though, with a future move to Sudanese giants El Merriekh still on the cards.
Tanzania side Simba SC are also keen on Vipers’ star attacker but what this website can confirm a deal can now only happen in the January window.
Okello remains tied down to the seven time Uganda Premier League champions until 2026.
The Vipers starman has been superb for both club and country this year. He was Uganda’s top scorer at the 2024 African Nations Championships (CHAN) with three goals and also leads the scorers chart for the nation at the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers with three goals along with Rogers Mato.

He was the top scorer in the league with 19 goals as Vipers clinched a double last term.

The Venoms will hope he transfers the same form to the CAF Champions League where they are to face African Stars of Namibia in the first preliminary round with the first leg due on Friday in Cape Town
