BUL FC are set to complete the signing of their former goalkeeper Tom Ikarah, Swift Sports understands.
Ikarah left BUL FC at the start of the previous campaign and had an impressive season with Sidama Bunna in the Ethiopian Premier League.
The lanky shot stopper garnered 11 clean sheets in the 20 league games he played for Sidama Bunna guiding them to a respectable 5th place on the table.
He also played an integral role as Sidama Bunna won the Ethiopian Cup but the result in the final was overturned in the boardroom over the fielding of ineligible players.
Ikarah’s final season at BUL FC saw him finishing as the best goal in the league with 12 clean sheets as BUL finished second behind eventual champions SC Villa.
Ikarah also previously featured for Kirinya Jinja SS, KCCA FC, Mbarara City and Police FC in the topflight league.
He is expected to boost the club’s goalkeeping department amidst the uncertainty of Joel Mutakubwa’s ultimate fate.
BUL already signed former Kitara FC goalkeeper Farouk Yawe on a two year contract.
The Abbey Bogere Kikomeko coached side also signed Tah Barni Kelvin, Isaac Ssenyuja, Seiri Arigumaho, Lawrence Kambugu and Simon Achidi.
