Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League side St. Noa Girls FC are in the advanced stages of appointing Tony Mawejje as their new head coach, Swift Sports understands.

Mawejje is currently unattached after parting ways with Wakiso Giants at the end of the previous season.

St. Noa Girls FC are keen on making Mawejje the replacement of Jimmy Kintu Mwera who left the club to join Uganda Premier League side Calvary FC on a two year contract.

Kintu guided St. Noa to a promotion to the topflight league and won the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Elite League title.

Mawejje has previously coached at Kampala Queens in the Women Super League as an assistant coach in the 2023/24 season.

The former Uganda Cranes midfielder retired from active football at the end of the 2021/22 season and subsequently embarked on pursuing a coaching career.

St Noa Girls FC will kick off their 2025/26 season with a trip Amus College on Saturday 4th October.
