Kajoba joins Basena at Ihefu SC

Tanzanian Premier league side Ihefu SC have appointed Fred Kajoba as Moses Basena’s assistant and goalkeeping coach.

The move sees Kajoba reunite with Basena whom he has been working with on the Uganda national team the Cranes.

Basena was confirmed new Ihefu head coach replacing Zuber Katwila who recently parted ways with the club.

Kajoba travelled to Tanzania on Monday evening ahead of his move. This website had earlier confirmed that Kajoba was in advanced talks with Ihefu SC.

Former Uganda Cranes captain Denis Onyango has wished Kajoba the best of luck in his new club,

“Best of luck to former Uganda Cranes goalkeeping coach Fred Kajoba on joining IHEFU SC in Tanzania as assistant & goalkeeping coach . I believe Kajoba and Moses Basena can scale the heights. All the best, Gentlemen.” Said Onyango

Kajoba has previously managed at Solitilo Bright Stars whom he guided to the 2019 Uganda Cup Final and Vipers SC winning the 2019/20 league title.

His new club Ihefu SC gained Tanzanian topflight football in 2022/23 season and are currently in eight place with six points in five games.
