Olila High School 1-3 Kawempe Muslim

Kawempe Muslim had to fight from a goal down to beat Olila High School and consequently register their first win of the new Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League season.

The encounter played at Olila Ground in Soroti saw the home side take the lead in the 47th minute through Brenda Atwani.

Kawempe, who drew 1-1 with rivals Kampala Queens in their opener, fought back through Shadia Nabirye, Agnes Nabukenya and new signing Latifah Nakasi.

Nabirye levelled the scores in the 73rd minute, Agnes made it 2-1 in the 76th minute before Nakasi put the icing on the cake nine minutes later.

The result sets off Kawempe’s bid to dethrone Kampala Queens who comfortably won last season’s title.

Josephine Ndagire scored the lone goal of Makerere University which later turned out to be a mere consolation.

The other game ended goalless between Rines SS WFC and Asubo Ladies FC at the Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium in Wakiso.
