Bugerere 1-2 Ssingo
Ssingo snatched an incredible Masaza Cup semi-final first leg comeback 2-1 victory away to Bugerere on Sunday, 12th October 2025.
Bugerere took the lead thanks to their starman Henry Wamala before Ismail Rwamitala levelled matters for Ssingo before halftime.
Early in the second period, Bugerere were awarded a penalty after Ssingo defender handled the ball in the forbidden area.
Bugerere’s Osman Mayanja was entrusted with the responsibility but his effort was saved by the visitors’ goalkeeper Joel Byamukama.
Bugerere were meant to pay for their penalty miss when Shaban Kayongo sensationally gave Ssingo the lead with a powerful shot out the box to send the few travelling faithfuls into a frenzy.
Ssingo are two time Masaza Cup winners and are eyeing their first final since 2018 when they beat Buddu at Namboole. They will however have to complete the deal next Sunday when they host 2006 finalists Bugerere at Mityana Ssaza Ground.
