Former Chelsea attacking midfielder Hakim Ziyech has joined Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca on a two year contract.

Ziyech has been a free agent since parting ways with Qatari giants Al Duhail after a short term spell of only four months.

Ziyech is expected to be instrumental for Wydad who are targeting the Morocco Botola Pro League title following a poor performance in the previous season.

The 32 year old is also one of the senior members of the Moroccan national team and could be one of the key players in the forthcoming AFCON tournament in December.

Ziyech is a UEFA Champions League winner with Chelsea (in 2021) having played for the London Blues between 2020-23.

He also played for Galatasaray in Turkey and Twente and Ajax in Netherlands and recently Al Duhail in Qatar.

Wydad are the league record champions in Morocco with 22 titles and have won the CAF Champions League thrice.
