Ugandan forward Sadat Anaku has joined Hartford Athletic Football Club in the United States of America(USA).
Anaku has been unemployed since his departure at Uganda Premier League side KCCA FC at the end of the 2024/25 season.
At his new club, Anaku has put pen to paper on a two year employment contract and will wear shirt 14.
Besides KCCA FC, Anaku has previously played for Dundee United in Scotland whom he joined from KCCA FC in August 2022 on a two year contract. His time at Dundee United was hampered by an achilles injury that has kept him on the sidelines for about one year.
Before his unfortunate injury at Dundee United, Anaku played 14 games during his debut season, including two starts and managed only one assist in the process.
Last year, he returned to KCCA FC for short term contract which expired in June this year.
In the USA, Anaku joins Bobosi Byaruhanga, Allan Oyirwoth, Toto Majub, Ibrahim Kasule, Edward Kizza and Steven Sserwadda who are the other Ugandans who ply their trade in the different leagues in the US.
