Uganda Cranes coach Paul Put has named a 28-man squad to face Chad and Morocco in the upcoming friendlies.

Uganda will play against Chad on Saturday 15th November in Casablanca and against Morocco on Thursday 20th November in Tanger.

The squad has Al Hassan Baba, a midfielder who plays for Romanian giants FC Steaua Bucuresti as the new face.

Put has described him as a box-to-box midfielder who plays with maturity and is also featuring in the Europa League this season.

Melvyn Lorenzen (30) who plays for Muangthong United in Thailand has also been named in the squad.

Born in London to a Ugandan father and a German mother, Lorenzen made his Uganda Cranes debut in 2016 in a friendly against Zimbabwe.

Moses Aliro (URA FC), Denis Kiggundu (Vipers) and Thomas Ikarah of BUL FC are the new players included from the Uganda Premier League.

Put emphasized that the two friendlies will provide playing time to players who have not been getting enough minutes in the recent Cranes engagement.

Jamal Salim Magola and Timothy are still doubtful because of an ankle injury and visa issues respectively but having been named on the list.
