The organizers of the Fortebet Real Stars monthly awards have rewarded the outstanding performers for the month of December, 2025.
The winners for the month of December were rewarded on Thursday at Molecule Restaurant in Kololo.
KCCA Netball Club and She Cranes sharp shooter Shadia Nassanga alias Miima is the Fortebet Real Stars Netball Player of the Month for December.
Nassanga put up a decent performance during the She Cranes Celtic Cup Triumph in December last year.
Her pivotal role at the tournament in Scotland saw her clinch the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the tournament individual gong.
Nassanga also excelled at the 2025 Africa Netball Championship in Lilongwe, Malawi, where she was Uganda’s best shooter. At Africa Netball Championship, Nassanga helped the She Cranes team win silver medal after a final defeat to South Africa.
She completed the month with another success when she played a key role in KCCA Netball Club to their maiden National Netball Super League title glory.
Nassanga finished as KCCA’s top scorer in the tense final, as the city side edged defending champions Prisons Netball Club 44–41 in a thrilling showdown played on December 29 at Nakivubo Stadium.
Nassanga beat her KCCA teammate Shaffie Nalwanja and NIC goal attacker and She Cranes captain Racheal Nanyonga to the Fortebet Netball accolade for the month of December.
Meanwhile, Sana Omprakash who won Uganda’s first ever gold medal at the Africa Youth Chess in Harare Zimbabwe in the U-18 category claimed the chess award. She beat Juliet Asaba and Apollo Muhumuza.
John Oduke received the Life Achievers Award in recognition of his contribution to tennis as a coach and player.
The winners received cash prizes and winners accolades courtesy of main sponsors Fortebet and Jude Color solutions.
