Kitara FC prevailed to a narrow 1-0 win over Calvary to end the first round of the 2025/26 campaign perfectly at Midigo Primary School Playground on Saturday.
Calvary on the other hand ended the first round winless with just four points they have garnered in their debut top-flight season.
Crispus Asiki’s early strike in the first period was the difference between the two sides on Saturday.
Asiki netted in the third minute of the game when he was fed by Patrick Henry Kaddu who has had a perfect campaign so far at Kitara.
The home side pressed for the equalizer but couldn’t breakdown Wasswa Bbosa’s side who have now won six, drawn once and lost one in their previous eight games.
Calvary are at the bottom of the Uganda Premier League table with four points they have so far collected.
