URA FC denied Kitara FC maximum points in the one-all draw in the league contest at Royals Park in Butema on Thursday.
Victory could have seen Kitara go top of the table with 38 points same as current leaders Vipers SC but Wasswa Bbosa’s men have a better head to head record following FUFA’s verdict in the unplayed contest between the two sides.
URA FC came into this game without a league goal in 720 minutes since 26th November, 2025 when they humbled Buhimba United Saints 7-3.
George Ssenkaba gave Kitara FC an early lead heading home a Musisi Muyomba free kick in the 12th minute.
Norman Namanya restored parity for the tax collectors in the 66th minute after goalkeeper Meddie Kibirige’s mistake.
Two minutes later, the hosts were reduced to ten with defender Isa Lumu shown marching orders.
Kitara FC is currently second on the League table with 36 points, two below leaders Vipers SC while URA remain winless in the league since their emphatic win last year over Buhimba and are 13th with 14 points.
The two sides will turn focus to the Stanbic Uganda Cup with Kitara FC hosting Entebbe UPPC next Tuesday while URA will battle with Blacks Power the following day.
