NEC FC have completed the signing of striker Samuel Ssekamatte Kayongo on a two year contract from UPDF FC.
Ssekamatte becomes the 8th addition at NEC FC in the ongoing mid-season transfer window.
The experienced forward has spent one and half seasons at UPDF FC and scored a total of 18 league goals including five in the ongoing season.

His arrival adds depth and quality in the NEC FC offensive department that has seen Cromwell Rwothomio sidelined for disciplinary reasons whereas Emmanuel Ajo recently suffered a knee injury.
Ssekamatte is a tried and tested goal getter who has previously played for KCCA FC, Police FC, SC Victoria University, Kira Young, BUL FC, Masaka LC, Soltilo Bright Stars and Arua Hill in the Uganda Premier League.
He also had successful stints beyond boarder with Red Arrows in Zambia and Malakia FC in South Sudan.
NEC FC, who are now under the tutelage of Kaddu Badru are aiming for a better finish following a disappointing first half of the season and currently sit 7th with 24 points from 17 games played.
The club has already signed Richard Basangwa, Hakim Wandera, Rashid Kawawa, Muhammad Ssenoga Kagawa, Tony Atukunda, Pius Obuya and Juma Mutebi.
Goalkeeper Hannington Ssebwalunyo and defender Ibrahim Kiyemba have been rewarded with new two year contracts each.
