Calvary FC registered a shock 1-0 win over KCCA on Saturday at Midigo Primary School Playground to put the Kasasiro Boys’ title hopes in a balance.
KCCA needed to win to close the gap on table leaders Vipers who play on Sunday but their title push suffered a major setback at Calvary.
Lawrence Olaboro scored the all important goal that secured a second league victory for Calvary. Olaboro netted at the hour mark and his goal was difference between the two sides.
KCCA were without Herbert Achayi, Gavin Kizito, Filbert Obenchan and Alex Yiga among others.
KCCA stays second placed on the table with 51 points, four below leaders Vipers who play tomorrow Abdulah Mubiru’s Entebbe UPPC at home on Sunday.
Calvary remains bottom placed and are only four behind safety positions after picking up eight points in their previous four games, in fact they have not conceded in those games.
