FUFA Big League side Mbale Heroes once again missed another game due to lack of funds.
Mbale Heroes who missed the trip to Kigezi Homeboyz two weeks ago were of no show against Nebbi Central on Sunday at Luo Ground.
The club reportedly failed to honor the fixture in Nebbi due to lack of funds to facilitate their transport costs.
It should be noted that once a club fails to attend a fixture, FUFA through Article 16 of the Ethics and Disciplinary Code docks three points and three goals from their already registered points.
When the club failed to turn up for the game against Kigezi, FUFA Panel awarded Kigezi Home Boyz Football Club three points and three goals after Mbale Heroes’ failure to play the game at the Al Madina Stadium in Kabale.
The panel found Mbale Heroes Football Club in breach of Rule 23 (4) and (5) of the FUFA Competitions Rules and Article 16 (3) of the FUFA Disciplinary Code.
Mbale Heroes who were relegated from the Uganda Premier League last season are currently bottom of the FUFA Big League table with 20 points.
The club is one of the most historic sides from Eastern Uganda, twice winning the Ugandan Cup (1976, 1999) and now find themselves in financial difficulties.
