SC Villa completed a league double over NEC with a 4-1 win at Philip Omondi Stadium in Lugogo on Wednesday.
The victory also saw the Jogoos end NEC’s nineteen match unbeaten streak.
Charles Lwanga scored a brace for the second consecutive league game away from home.
Lwanga whose contract is due to expire at the end of the season gave the visitors the lead in the 10th minute before doubling their advantage in the 18th minute in the match the Jogoos made ten changes from the Stanbic Uganda Cup triumph over URA last Saturday.
Geoffrey Gagganga stretched Villa’s lead in the 35th minute.
Second half substitute Hassan Mubiru struck the fourth for the record league champions in the 87th minute.
Villa had defender Farouk Matovu sent off in the 82nd minute for a second bookable offence.
Emmanuel Kulanga pulled one back for Badru Kaddu’s men who stay 6th with 48 points with one game to the climax of the season, they also await FUFA’s verdict in regards to their match with Buhimba United Saints who failed to honour their fixture last week.
NEC will end their league campaign against relegated Calvary FC on Saturday.
Villa are 3rd placed with 58 points and will host UPDF in their last league encounter.
