Uganda Premier League side NEC FC has named the 2025/26 season best performers at the club’s end of season dinner held at Silver Springs in Bugolobi on Tuesday.
The event was attended by the club’s Patron Lt Gen James Mugira, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the National Enterprise Corporation (NEC), the business arm of the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF).
Mid-season signing Tonny Atukunda who joined the club from SC Villa in February this year has been named as player of the season by the club.
Atukunda made 11 league appearances for the Badru Kaddu coached side during the just concluded season. The versatile midfielder left Villa as a free agent to NEC FC.
Goalkeeper Hannington Ssebwalunyo won both the goalkeeper and Fans’ Player of the season awards while Warren Buule clinched the Defender of the season Award.
Joseph Sseremba won the midfielder of the season while Richard Basangwa smiled to the forward of the season.
Emmanuel Kulanga’s sensational strike in the 4-1 defeat over SC Villa was named as the goal of the season.

NEC FC under the stewardship of Kaddu finished fifth on the Uganda Premier League table with 53 points they garnered in the 2025/26 season.
