The FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Committee has sanctioned five individuals after finding them guilty of match manipulation, in violation of Articles 43 and 44 of the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Code.
According to FUFA, the sanctions are related to the 2025/26 Uganda Premier League match between Lugazi FC and Buhimba United Saints FC played on 8th November 2025.
In their ruling FUFA stated that all the sanctioned persons have been banned from all football-related activities.
The banned players are Fred Nkata, Moses Ayebale who have been banned for five years each while Ramadhan Dudu has been handed a two year ban.
James Kalumba who served as the Technical Director at Buhimba United Saints FC will have a five year ban while Ali Feni, former player has been banned for life from all football-related activities.
It was established by FUFA that Feni coordinated match-fixing in several matches, including Lugazi FC vs Buhimba United Saints FC, by acting as an intermediary between players and match-fixers.
“FUFA has communicated the decisions to all concerned parties, and the sanctions took effect immediately upon notification. The affected parties reserve the right to appeal.” Stated FUFA
In January this year, FUFA has provisionally suspended Ayabale, Dudu and Nkata for 90 days over alleged match manipulation of the match between Buhimba and Lugazi.
