Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC have part ways with their head coach Ivan Jacky Minnaert, Swift Sports Uganda understands.
This website has established that the Venoms have decided not to continue with the Belgian who led them to their eighth league title last month.
Minnaert was appointed as Vipers head coach at the start of last season, a move that saw him become the club’s ninth foreign coach in history.
He joined the club from Liberian Premier League outfit Fassell Football Club, which he guided to the league title in the 2024/25 season.
He also worked with Libyan top-flight outfit Al-ttihad Tripoli, helping them to the title in the 2020/21 campaign.
The Belgian also managed at Union Estepona CF and CD San Roque in Spain, Malian side Djoliba AC, Kenya’s AFC Leopards and Rwanda Premier League side Rayon Sport FC across two separate spells.
His African experience saw him manage in Guinea Conakry at AS Kaloum Star, at Rwanda’s Mukura Victory FC and at South African side Black Leopards FC.
As the search for Minnaert’s replacement continue, the other foreign coaches to manage at Vipers are Nigerian Ambrose Duru Chukuma, Kenyan Michael Nam Ouma, Mexican Javier Martinez Espinosa, Brazilian Leonard Martins Neiva,Brazilian-Spaniard Roberto Luiz Bianchi Pelliste and Serbian Nikola Kavazovic have all failed to deliver glory at Kitende.
