The Proprietor of Macro Hardware and Patron of the Kigezi HomeBoyz Football Club Fans Committee, Eng. Joram ‘Macro’ Bwambale has called upon government through Kigezi Sub-region leaders to throw their full support behind the club during its journey in the Uganda Premier League.
Kigezi Homeboyz secured Uganda Premier League status for the 2026/27 season to become the first club from the region to play top-tier football since Horizon FC 25-years ago.
Despite breaking the jinx, Bwambale who has supported the club through his Macro Hardware believes the club will need more funds to sustain their stay in the UPL.
Bwamble has rallied leaders from the region to back the team while in the Topflight division.
“We need government support through our area leaders, ministers, members of Parliament and all politicians from the region we really need support since the money needed to run a club in the top tier of Ugandan football is too much. The community, directors of the club cannot sustain this club for a long time without government support. The government does support clubs but as Kigezi Homeboyz we call for efforts through our regional leaders to get more support to sustain this football club.” He stated

Bwambale also asserts that promotion to the Uganda Premier League will boost the tourism industry in the region.
“After 25 years without a team in the Kigezi Region, we finally break the jinx. I am excited that we shall have topflight football. It’s an opportunity for us to witness top sides play in our region and great for us to show our beauty, goodness, culture, hills and lakes.

“It makes sense that every football club, fan who will come for games will get the chance tour our region which will be beneficial to the region as well.” He Added
Bwambale has been a consistent backer of the club through his Macros Hardware during its journey in the FUFA Big League.
