Stanbic Uganda Cup champions Kitara FC are expected to release four experienced players in this transfer window.
Experienced players such as James Alitho, Amir Kakomo,Sadiq Ssekyembe and Frank Kasumba are expected to leave the George Lutalo and Wasswa Bbosa coached side.
Alitho with UPL experience having featured for Vipers, URA and Wakiso Giants has struggled for form during his time at Kitara.
Left back Ssekyembe has been hit with injuries during the just concluded season and the club has decided not to continue with him ahead of next season.
Ssekyembe has previously played for Nakivubo Boys, Mengo United, Katwe United, Express FC ,Gaddafi FC, Horseed SC and Mbarara City FC.
Kasumba joined Kitara at the start of the 2024/25 season but has failed to live to the expectations. He has previously played for Seeta United, Kireka United, Lugazi FC, Kaaro Karungi, Arua Hill SC and lately Mbarara City.
Kakomo joined the Royals in July 2025 but has also struggled with injuries and form at the club. Kakomo notably featured for SC Villa for three years between 2018 and 2021 before joining Gaddafi FC. He also played for NEC FC.
Kitara are expected to be in the market to boost their goalkeeping department and midfield ahead of a busy schedule with continental football next season.
