Nalukenge, who put pen to paper on a year contract today, will now don shirt number 23 at Puebla.
Nalukenge rose to prominence with Kawempe Muslim and Uganda’s U17 Team as a prolific striker but has of late been turned into a left winger.
She has featured for Apollon Ladies in Cyprus, Kayseri Spor and Antalya Spor both in Turkey before joining the Mexican Femenil Liga.
She has been sparingly used at Atlas Femenil but her abilities garnered the attention of José Carlos Durón the Puebla Head Coach who prompted for her acquisition.
The Goal.com NXGN award winner is also the second Ugandan player in the Mexican league after Sandra Nabweteme.
The Mexican Liga is also home to notable African players like Jermaine Seoposenwe, Osinachi Ohale, Grace Chanda, Thembi Kgtlana, Vivian Ikechukwu, Michaela Abam, Kanu Uchenna, Julitha Singano, Enekia Lumanyila among others.
The league is also home to global icons like Geyse Ferreira, Jennifer Hermoso, Eugenie Le Sommer, Amandine Henry and Sofia Jakobsson.
