Uganda’s Aisha Nantongo has completed a transfer to Shaanxi Zhidan Women FC from fellow Chinese Women Super League side Changchun Dazhong Zhuoyue WFC.

Nantongo put pen to paper on a contract that will run until the end of the current Chinese Women Super League season.

The versatile Crested Cranes defender who can ably play as a defensive midfielder will wear shirt number 14 at Shaanxi Zhidan WFC.

Last year Nantongo became the first Ugandan player to feature in the Chinese Women Super League after joining Changchun Dazhong Zhuoyue from Egypt’s FC Masar.

She joined the club after an impressive run in the CAF Women’s Champions League that saw FC Masar finish as Bronze Winners.

Nantongo has previously turned out for Kawempe Muslim, St. Noa Girls, London College and Danish side Aalborg BK.

She could debut for her new side as they visit Beijing Women FC in their subsequent league game on Sunday 5th July.

Shaanxi Zhidan WFC will be seeking an improved campaign after surviving relegation by a position last season.

Nantongo, together with Nigerian forward Alice Ogebe are the only foreign players at the club.
