Stanbic Uganda Cup champions Kitara FC are on the verge of signing midfielder Nicholas Kasozi, Swift Sports Uganda understands.
Kasozi is currently a free agent following his departure at Tanzania Premier League entity Kagera Sugar where he featured for two seasons.
This website has established that Kitara FC and Kasozi are close to reaching an agreement with the midfielder set to put pen to paper on a two year deal.
In case the deal materialises, Kasozi will link up with coach Wasswa Bbosa whom he worked with at SC Villa, Express FC and Gaddafi FC.
Kitara are busy in the market as they aim to bloster their squad ahead of a busy 2026/27 schedule that will see them return to the continent after booking a place in the CAF Confederation Cup with the Uganda Cup triumph.
Kasozi is a former player at KCCA FC, SC Villa, Express FC, Kyetume FC and the now defunct Synergy FC. Kitara is also in talks with Denis Iguma and Martin Kizza.
