Eight time Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC have revealed Cesar Manzoki’s shirt number ahead of their CECAFA Kagame Cup contest against Garde Republicaine due this Friday.

During his previous stint Manzoki wore shirt number 9 and will again put on the same number in his second spell at the Kitende based side.

Kenneth Kimera who is still contracted at Vipers has been the previous occupant of the number 9 shirt at the club.

Kimera arrived from Wakiso Giants at the start of the 2024/25 season and took No.9 but not everything went according to plan for the striker.

He spent the second half of last season at Express FC and this website has established that the Red Eagles along with URA FC are scrambling for Kimera’s signature who also fancies a move away.

His former coach at Express FC, Jimmy Kintu Mwera wants to reunite with the striker at URA. Kimera scored five league goals last season during his loan spell at the Red Eagles under Kintu’s reign.

Kimera rose to the UPL scene with Wakiso Giants in the 2023/24 season before moving to Vipers at the start of the 2024/25 season.

Last season he played only two league games at Vipers against BUL FC and Lugazi FC where he was brought off the bench in the final six minutes.

In fact, he has played a total of 20 league games since joining Vipers, scoring twice and getting one assist.
