URA FC will temporarily extend their lead on the table to four points if they manage to beat Onduparaka at the Arena of Visions in Ndejje.

The Tax Collectors have 47 points, one more than Vipers and four more than third placed Express.

Onduparaka are on a four match losing streak in the league and come into match day 22 sitting 12th with 24 points, five above the relegation zone.

The Caterpillars have succumbed to successive defeats to Wakiso Giants, MYDA, KCCA and most recently Express FC at Wankulukuku.

They face a URA side that has been boosted by the return of striker Steven Dese Mukwala who has been out of action in the recent games due to injury.

Mukwala who has so far scored 10 goals this term, started on the bench against Express in URA’s most recent match in the Uganda Cup against Express.

The 2019/20 league top scorer was instrumental in URA’s 3-0 win over Onduparaka in the first leg in Arua. He scored a brace while Cromwell Rwothomio scored the other.

His return is a relief to Sam Ssimbwa who only had Ibrahim Dada Juma as the only recognized fit striker since Rwothomio is still injured.

Ssimbwa will have to negotiate the tie without Julius Mutyaba, Michael Birungi and goalkeeper Alionzi Nafian who are injured. Nafian’s place will be taken up by Hannington Ssebwalunyo.

Onduparaka will be without their leading scorer Kabon Living and midfielder Joel Jangeyambe who are suspended for accumulating three yellows in their last game. Striker Gabriel Matata is also ruled out by sickness.

Joseph Mutyaba is expected to rely on the team’s defense if at all he stands a chance to halt the team’s losing streak.

The past eight meetings between the two sides have seen URA win on four occasions while Onduparaka have only managed one win in the process, a 1-0 in 2017 orchestrated by Viane Ssekajugo at Namboole. The other three games have produced stalemates.

Both teams come into this fixture after being eliminated from the Stanbic Uganda Cup. URA were ejected by Express while SC Villa eliminated Onduparaka.
