2026 Masaza Cup semifinal Ties Confirmed

The 2026 Buganda Masaza Cup semifinal games have been confirmed after the climax of the quarterfinal stage on Sunday.
Buddu who needed a miracle to overturn their first leg defeat to Gomba won the return leg 1-0, thanks to Sunny Kaija strike at Kitovu Sports Arena but bowed out on aggregate 3-1.
Record winners Gomba prevail to the semifinal of the prestigious competition for the first time since 2023 when they went all the way to the final before losing to Bulemeezi.
Gomba will now face off with neighbours Butambala in the semifinal. Butambala reached their first ever semifinal on Saturday after a 4-2 shootout win over Busujju on Saturday following a 1-1 aggregate draw.
Kyaggwe completed a double over Mawogola in the other quarterfinal tie with a 3-1 victory at Bishops SS in Mukono. Lauben Lubwama scored a brace and James Innocent Matege scored the other goal for Kyaggwe while Opolot Emmanuel found a consolation for the visitors.
Kyaggwe will now take on Bugerere in the semis of the competition. Bugerere had to sweat their way to return to the last four after eliminating Kyaddondo in the quarterfinals, they prevailed 5-4 on penalties after a 1-1 aggregate draw.
