Bbaale strike sends Villa four points clear

Charles Bbaale scored the all important goal as SC Villa record a fifth straight league win on their return to Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.

Bbaale sensationally gave struck for Villa in the 72nd minute to move the 16 time Uganda Premier league champions four points at the summit.

The forward was well fed by second half substitute Ivan Sserubiri to fire past custodian Sanon Mulabi.

Bright Stars best chance fell to Samuel Ssenyonjo in the final minutes of the game when he benefited from Gift Fred’s back pass but the striker could only see his effort hit the post.

The win sees Villa move to 40 points they have garnered in 20 games and are now four points above second placed KCCA FC who have played three games less.

Bright Stars who suffered a third consecutive defeat are now 10th on the log with 24 points.
