Police FC 4-0 Calvary FC

Police FC bounced back to winning ways with a comprehensive 4-0 win over Calvary FC in a 2pm at the Kavumba Recreation Grounds.

Despite the numerical disadvantage, Police ensured a comfortable victory after their goalkeeper Davis Mutebi was sent off towards the mandatory halftime break.

Hassan Kikoyo, Reagan Male, Dennis Kalanzi and substitute Abdul Nsereko scored the goals for the Angelo Lonyesi coached side.

Newly acquired forward Kikoyo scored his first goal since joining Police in the 21st minute through a penalty kick after Tony Kiwalazi was brought down in box.

Male made it 2-0 with a ferocious shot with was not well dealt with by goalkeeper Saleh Maganda in the 37th minute.

In the 44th minute, Police were reduced to 10 men after goalkeeper Mutebi was sent off for a handball outside the penalty area.

His immediate deputy Sammon Oloka was immediately came off the bench and replaced Bernaldo Kateregga.

At hour mark, the Cops made it 3-0 through Nsereko who had came off the bench at the start of the second to replace Kikoyo.

Kalanzi, another January signing, put the icing on the cake 12 minutes to normal time.

Police move to 37 points awaiting the results from their direct competitors Kitara, NEC FC and Mbarara City.

Their next game will be against Kyetume in Nakisunga while Calvary will seek redemption against Ndejje University next Thursday.
