Alex Isabirye’s Express FC condemned Vipers SC to a second consecutive defeat at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.

Isabirye was facing his former paymasters whom he led to a Cup double last season before he was replaced by Brazilian tactician Leonard Martins Neiva.

Vipers SC came into this contest after a 3-2 home defeat to BUL FC in their previous game.

For the Red Eagles this is their second win successive win after their 5-2 victory at NEC FC last week.

Isma Kawawulo fired the host into the lead in the 38th minute before Isaac Wagoina sealed the win the 77th minute.

Following the sacking of Neiva, Vipers were under the stewardship of Richard Wasswa and Baker Kasule.

Victory sees Express move to 8th on the Uganda Premier league table with 19 points while Vipers are now fourth with 24 points.
