Mbarara City FC right back Frank Kasumba has completed a move to Uganda Cup winners Kitara FC.
As earlier reported by this website, Kasumba has put pen to paper on a one year employment contract with Kitara FC.
He joins Kitara FC as a free agent following expiration of his contract at Ankole Lions.
Kasumba has previously played for Seeta United, Kireka United, Lugazi FC, Kaaro Karungi, Arua Hill SC and lately Mbarara City.
He also played for Kyaggwe Ssaza team in the prestigious Buganda Masaza Cup tournament in 2020.
Kitara FC will represent Uganda in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup and will face off with Libyan side Al Hilal in the first preliminary round with the first leg slated for August, 16-18th at Mandela National Stadium in Namboole.
Before their CAF Confederation Cup adventure, Kitara FC will first play KCCA FC in the FUFA Super 8 Quarterfinal first leg at Namboole on August 3rd, 2024.
The Brian Ssenyondo coached have already signed Wakiso Giants duo of Titus Ssematimba and Marvin Nyanzi, Maroons duo of David Ndihabwe and Fred Amaku, Ronald Otti from BUL FC among others.
