Express FC slapped with a 1 million shillings fine for hiding match balls

Express FC has been slapped with a reprimanding fine of one million shillings (1,000,000 Shs.) for hiding match balls and consequently recalling ball boys during their 1-0 win over Mbarara City on 11th April 2018 at Wankulukuku stadium.

The punishment comes after The Fufa Competition Panel (CDP) received a petition from the AUPL secretariat and sat on 19th April to handle the matter.

SACTION
“The act (hiding the match balls and recalling ball boys) contravened Article 16.9 of the Uganda Premier League rules 2017/18 and also goes against Article 30.2 of the FUFA competitions rules 2017/18.”

“Accordingly, Express FC is fined 1,000,000 Shs. (One million shillings). The CDP may revise this fine amount upwards if not paid by 28th April.” says a statement from the FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel

Express is currently hovering above the relegation zone in the 13th position with 25 points collected from 24 outings. They will play against Maroons in their subsequent fixture on Saturday 28th April at the Luzira Prisons ground.
