Foes SC Villa and Vipers face off on floodlights at Namboole

SC Villa will seek to reclaim top spot on the log when they host nemesis Vipers SC at Mandela National stadium in another floodlight match.

Edwardo Kaziba’s men are fresh from a derby win over Express as their counterparts failed to see off Mbarara city at their own courtyard henceforth playing to a 2 all draw.

Vipers’ head coach Edward Golola however confirmed that his team have put the disappointing result at the back of their minds and are have set their sights on the fixture at hand.

Golola’s team have been boosted by the return of first choice goal keeper Fabien Mutombora , who makes a recovery from an injury layoff.

Vipers SC have also made some significant chances from the team that beat SC Villa last season

Defender Geoffrey Wasswa will also return to action after a long spell on the sidelines following a knee surgery.

Vipers will have to negotiate the tie without former SC Villa defender Farouk Musisi, who saw red in their victory over Tooro United.

SC Villa will miss the services of defender Moses Kiggundu but his absence may provide an opening for national U-20 captain Gavin Kizito.

In form left back Yayo Lutimba will face his former pay masters for the first time since being released by Vipers after being deemed surplus to requirements.
