Alex Isabirye will be in the spotlight when his Express FC takes on his former paymasters Vipers SC at Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku on Saturday.

Isabirye won a Cup double with Vipers last season before he was replaced by Brazilian tactician Leonard Martins Neiva.

Neiva was however sacked last week after suffering a 3-2 defeat at home to leaders BUL FC.

The Venoms come into this contest with Richard Wasswa, Baker Kasule and Daniel Male in charge as the search for a permanent coach continues.

Ibrahim Mugisha (Goalkeeping coach) and Lukusa Kayembe Raoul ( assistant coach) also left their roles at Vipers.

Meanwhile, Erick Kenzo Kambale will be returning to Wankulukuku where he played a pivotal role for the Red Eagles as they clinched a league title and CECAFA Club Cup in 2021.

Isabirye’s side will be boosted by the 5-2 win over NEC FC in their previous game. They are currently 9th on the table with 16 points.

Express are yet to win at home since their 1-0 victory over Bright Stars in October.

Vipers on the other hand are currently third on the log with 24 points and eight points adrift of leaders BUL FC.
