Former SC Villa head coach Petros Koukouras has resigned from his role at Kiyovu Sports.

The Greek tactician confirmed the development on Thursday that he has decided to part ways with the Rwanda Premier league side due to financial hardships

“lt’s time for me to say goodbye to SC Kiyovu sports. Fist of all I want to make it clear that I neither resigned nor been fired. We mutually agreed with the team to leave the club in order to relieve the budget from my contract due to the financial problems the club is facing this season.”

“I could never resigned cause I was not afraid of the responsibility or the difficult times. Only 5 months but we managed to experience it all. I would like to thank from the bottom of my heart my players for their efforts, they have been amazing.”

“I also want to thank all the staff in Kiyovu for their patience and their help. Finally I want to say a big thank you to the fans of the team who followed us everywhere! I came as a stranger and with your support and love you make me feel like home. All the best to the green army! Merci Kiyovu.” Said Koukouras

Koukouras was appointed at the start of this season and leaves Kiyovu in 5th place after 11 games.
