“We are not against the “Drum” , our main concern is that summoning super division players may not help us identify new talents “.

“Now you look at those countries you follow very well in football, have you seen the premier League stopping because Manchester United players must play in the Queen’s provincial cup, an abrupt tournament they did not even register for? if Lukaku doesn’t come, he will face this and the other.. !! Really why all that energy?”… He wondered.

On the circulated later, Mulindwa said he was disappointed in the manner in which the letter that was supposed to serve the purpose of official use got to reach people who it weren’t addressed to,

“We addressed a letter to the FUFA CEO but to our disdain, the letter circulated to social media, the letter was only a wake up call. We are not fighting FUFA, Mulindwa can not fight his child”.

Days after Vipers sc had written to FUFA , the federation CEO Edgar Watson made it clear that any club which shall not release players for the drum tournament shall be liable to punishment which include losing 3points and risk banning the said players for at least one match.

“Any players that do not honour the invitation shall be ineligible to participate in the FUFA organized competition for (1)subsquent FUFA competition match ”

“If any club uses such an ineligible player, the club shall lose the points by forfieture and the player shall remain ineligible untill a (1) match sanction is served.” Reads part of the letter signed by Edgar.

The drum tournament is set to kick-start tomorrow Saturday with Buganda province taking on Bugish.
