Micho summons 33 man squad for AFCON qualifiers

A preliminary squad of 33 men has been called up to begin preparations for the forthcoming qualifiers to Ivory coast 2023.

The players will enter convene for a residential camp on Monday 23rd May 2022 and will reside at the Cranes Paradise Hotel in Kisasi.

Uganda are pitted alongside 2019 winners Algeria, Niger and Tanzania.

Among the new faces is Huddersfield Town goal keeper Bellagambi Giousue and Moses Aliro of Wakiso Giants.

Uganda’s opening match will be a trip to Algeria on 4th June 2022, followed by a home match against Niger at Kitende.
