Police FC unveil former Villa goalkeeper as second January signing

FUFA Big League table leaders Police FC have announced the signing of goalkeeper Ashadu Bugembe as their second signing in the concluded mid-season transfer window.

Bugembe joined the Cops as a free agent and signed a short term contract of six months.

He comes in to fill the void left by Davis Mutebi who reportedly left the club to pursue a different career away from football.

Bugembe together with youthful custodian Edgar Tukahirwa are expected to provide a cover to Edward Kasibante who is the club’s first choice.

Bugembe rose to the scene with the now defunct Masaka LC and Kira Young before he joined SC Villa, BUL FC and Maroons FC among others.

Police FC under the tutelage of Simon Peter Mugerwa are targeting promotion back to the topflight league having suffered relegation two seasons ago.

The club already unveiled forward Francis Onekalit from Ndejje University

The Cops will face Busei FC in a Stanbic Uganda Cup Round of 32 encounter at Iganga Ssaza Ground on Thursday 15th February.
